Release 3.0 introduces a powerful new templating feature, enhanced entity mapping pages, and support for three new connectors. This release focuses on improving usability, expanding functionality, and increasing stability.

New Features

Templates for Mapping

  • Predefined Mappings: Introduced the ability to select predefined mappings for templates. This simplifies the process by providing ready-made mappings within the system.

Add Uploaded Template to the Templates Screen

  • Ease of Access: Users can now add uploaded templates directly to the templates screen, making it easier to access and manage them.

Sign Buttons Template to the Templates Screen

  • Enhanced Signing Process: Added sign buttons to the templates screen, streamlining the template signing process.

Templates Show Certificates for Different Versions

  • Version Control: Templates now display certificates for different versions, providing better version control and traceability.

Create Template from a Process

  • Efficiency in Template Creation: Users can now create templates directly from existing processes, improving the efficiency of template creation.

Template Repository

Apply a Versioned Template

Template Signing with a Certificate – Settings

  • Security: Introduced settings for template signing with certificates, providing more secure and manageable signing options.

View Template Signed Certificate in UI

  • Visibility: Users can now view signed certificates of templates directly in the UI, improving visibility and access to certificate information.

Test Cases – Azure DevOps – Jira Xray Mapping

Test Case Mapping and Migration Azure -> Jira Xray

  • Streamlined Migration: Introduced the ability to map and migrate test cases from Azure DevOps to Jira Xray, making the migration process between these platforms more efficient.

Sync Notifications

Error Notifications

  • Comprehensive Notifications: SyncNow introduces a robust notification system to alert users about synchronization errors. Users can receive notifications either as comments on the source entity or via email.

  • Comments Notifications: SyncNow can automatically add a note with a detailed error description directly to the source entity. This feature provides immediate context and allows users to see the specific issue within the entity itself.

  • Email Alerts: Email notifications can be sent to predefined SyncNow users, ensuring that the right individuals are promptly informed about any issues.

  • TLS Encrypted: All email notifications are TLS encrypted, providing secure communication and safeguarding sensitive information.

  • Customizable Notification Settings: SyncNow includes settings to define what types of errors will trigger notifications and when users will be notified. This flexibility allows organizations to tailor the notification system to their specific needs and preferences.

  • Timely Awareness: This feature ensures timely awareness of issues, allowing for quick resolution and minimizing potential disruptions.

Actions On Deleted Entities

Execute an Action When Deleting Entity in One of the Systems

  • Automated Actions: Implemented a feature to execute specific actions when an entity is deleted in one of the connected systems, with the option to set a timer for the action.

Support for New Work Systems

  • New Connectors: Added support for the following work systems:
    • GitHub
    • GitLab

Key Bug Fixes in v3.0

Change the Project from the UI Caused Failures

  • Issue: Changing the project from the UI caused failures due to entities mapped from the previous project.
  • Resolution: Fixed the issue to ensure smooth project changes without failures.

Templates Not Calculated and Verified Immediately

  • Issue: Templates were not immediately verified when changing template settings in global settings.
  • Resolution: Ensured immediate verification of templates upon changing settings.
  • Issue: External system was not being updated on links when an internal link was added simultaneously with an external system change.
  • Resolution: Fixed synchronization issues with external systems during link updates.

Azure DevOps – Attachments with Same Name Problem

  • Issue: Attachments with the same name caused conflicts.
  • Resolution: Resolved attachment name conflicts in Azure DevOps integration.

Entities Stuck in Queue

  • Issue: Entities were stuck in the queue if the instance was stopped after inputting entities but before sync.
  • Resolution: Fixed queue handling to prevent entities from getting stuck.

‘Created By’ Name Incorrect After Sync from Azure DevOps

  • Issue: The ‘Created By’ name was sometimes incorrect after syncing from Azure DevOps.
  • Resolution: Corrected the ‘Created By’ name handling during sync.

Templates with Same Name, Different Versions Issue

  • Issue: Templates with the same name but different versions could not be uploaded.
  • Resolution: Allowed uploading templates with the same name but different versions.

User Secret in UI Should Be of Password Type

  • Issue: User Secret in the UI was not displayed as a password type.
  • Resolution: Changed the User Secret input to be of password type for security.

Comments Not Synced Correctly from MicroFocus

  • Issue: Comments were not synced correctly from MicroFocus.
  • Resolution: Ensured accurate synchronization of comments from MicroFocus.

Invalid Column ID on Entities Page

  • Issue: Navigating to the entities page resulted in an invalid column ID error.
  • Resolution: Fixed the column ID error on the entities page.
